Coronavirus kills 1329 in USA; Nigeria lists 65 cases

LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 65 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 213, 883.

But out of the 213, 883 confirmed cases, 207, 094 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 975 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 3814 active cases of Coronavirus, while one patient died in the last 24 hours.

“NCDC: 65 new cases of COVID19Nigeria: Lagos – 20, FCT -12, Kaduna -11, Oyo -9, Bauchi -4, Kano – 4, Edo -2, Ekiti -1, Plateau -1, Rivers – 1: 213, 883 conformed; 207, 094 discharged; 2, 975 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

Total confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide now stands at 259,894,971 all time cases, 5, 180,270 patients have kicked the bucket, while 7,523,366,523 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 48,121,851 all time cases, while 775,745 patients have passed on(103, 378 new and 1329 deaths#), followed by India, which has reported 34,544,882 all time cases, while 466 980 patients could not make it alive(9119 new and 396 deaths#), and Brazil, which has documented 22, 043,112 all time cases, while 613,339 patients are no more(12, 930 new and 273 deaths#) .

The United Kingdom has come up as the 4^th country most hit, reporting 10, 075, 808 total cases, while 144,875 patients have passed on(47, 169 new and 147 deaths#), followed by Russia, which has documented 9, 303,751 total cases and 263,056 deaths(32, 866 new and 323 deaths#) and Turkey with 8, 654,142 all time cases, while 75, 618 patients are no more(27, 592 new and 145 deaths#).

France has come up as the 7^th country most hit, reporting 7, 619, 656 total cases and 119, 758 deaths(66, 105 new and 153 deaths#), followed by Iran, which has reported 6, 097, 672 confirmed cases, while 129, 376 lives could not make it alive(4850 new and 96 deaths#) and Argentina, which has registered 5, 319, 867 all time cases, while 116, 458 patients have passed on(2234 new and 43 deaths#).

Spain remains the 10^th country most hit, reporting 5, 111, 842 total cases, while 87, 904 lives have perished(8527 new and 38 deaths#) and South Africa, which remains the most afflicted country in Africa.

South Africa has reported 2, 952,500 all time infections, while 89, 771 patients could not make it alive(3740 new and 136 deaths#).
