Coronavirus claims 5, 130, 139 lives globally
LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has reported 82 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic in the country, bringing all time cases to 213, 403.
But out of the 213, 403 all time cases, 206, 245 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 973 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 4185 active cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 255,931,034 total cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 5, 130, 139 lives have been wasted while 7, 594, 152, 864 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest reports from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 47,504, 601 confirmed cases, while 768, 429 patients have perished, followed by India, which has documented 34, 478, 517 all time cases, while 464,623 patients are no more and Brazil, which registered 21,977,661 all time infections and 611, 851 deaths.
The United Kingdom remains the 4th country most hit, reporting 9, 772, 487 all time cases while 143, 999 patients have passed on, followed by Russia, now reporting 9, 063, 318 all time cases, while 255,448 patients could not make it alive and Turkey with 8, 505, 190 all time infections, while 74, 428 patients have died from the pandemic.
France remains the 7th country most hit, reporting 7,453,941 all time cases, while 119,333 patients are no more, followed by Iran with 6, 063,775 all time cases, while 128,634 patients are now dead and Argentina which has reported 5, 310,334 all time cases and 116, 313 deaths.
Spain has come up as the 10th country, which has documented 5, 074, 027 all time cases, while 87, 804 patients have passed on and South Africa with 2, 926,914 all time infections and 89, 515 deaths.
