Jehovah’s Witness jailed 50 months for preaching in Russia
RUSSIA – The Pavlovskiy District Court has sentenced Vladimir Skachidub, one of the Jehovah’s Witnesses to 50 months imprisonment.
Vladimir Skachidub was convicted for preaching about God’s incoming kingdom, using the Holy Bible.
The Jehovah’s Witness was formerly charged for his preaching work on June 23, 2020 but was placed on Federal Terrorist list a month later, on July 23, 2020.
Born 1961 in Pavlovskaya Krasnodar territory, the persecuted Jehovah’s Witness said he has constantly prayed for holy spirit, direction, and power beyond what is normal during this period of trial.
“When the investigation got underway, . . . I prayed to sanctify Jehovah’s name as I spoke with the investigator. At the final interrogation, the investigator commended me and said that I conducted myself honourably”, he said, adding that his persecution has brought him even closer to Jehovah and taught him not to lose heart during times of difficulty but instead to trust fully in Jehovah.
