Coronavirus Pandemic: Drastic drop in daily cases  worldwide

LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 74 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, the lowest since the third pandemic, bringing all time cases to 206,  138.

But out of the 206, 138 confirmed cases,  194, 097  patients have been treated and discharged, while  2, 723 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with  9318 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic.

“NCDC: 74 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos – 36,  Edo – 11,  FCT – 9,  Akwa Ibom – 6, Sokoto – 6,  Delta – 3,  Benue – 1, Oyo – 1, Rivers – 1; 206, 138 confirmed; 194,097 discharged; 2, 723 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

There are now  234,880, 093 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic,  4, 801, 011 patients are no more alive, while 6, 295, 293, 146  doses of Coronavirus pandemic have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting  43, 679, 352 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 701,157  patients are no more(26, 083 new and 266 deaths*), followed by India with 33, 813,903  confirmed cases, while 448, 817  patients have been killed by the pandemic(22, 842 new and  244 deaths*) and Brazil with  21, 468,121 all time cases, while 597,  948 patients have died(9004 new and 223 deaths*).

The United Kingdom remains the 4^th country most hit by the virus, now reporting 7, 937, 766 all time cases, while 137, 338  patients have passed on(29, 767 new and 46 deaths*), followed by Russia which has documented 7, 474, 850  all time cases, while 206, 179 lives have been wasted(25, 161 new and 882 deaths*) and France which  has registered  7, 120, 214 all time cases and 117,595 deaths(3799 new and 17 deaths*).

Turkey  continues as the 7^th country most hit, reporting 7,208, 851 all time infections and  64, 434 deaths(27, 351 new and  194 deaths*), followed by Iran, which has reported  5, 624,  128  all time infections and 121, 109 deaths(12, 428 new and 229 deaths*) and  Argentina which has  reported 5, 259, 352 all time cases, while 115, 239  others are now dead(886 new and 14 deaths*) .

Spain has come up as the 10^th country most hit, reporting 4, 961, 128 all time cases and 86, 463 deaths and South Africa, now reporting 2, 906, 422 all time cases, while 87, 780 patients have passed on(809 new and 27 deaths*).
