Coronavirus kills 17 patients in Nigeria 2752 in USA, 1207 in Brazil

LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 297 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 206, 920. But out of the 206, 920 confirmed cases, 194, 651 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 740 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 9529 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 17 patients died in the last 24 hours.

Globally, there are now 236, 445,336 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4,827,358 patients have passed on while 6,365,826,744 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 44,053, 613 confirmed cases, while 707, 660 lives have been wasted(124, 057 new and 2752 deaths*), followed by India, which has documented 33,871, 881 confirmed cases, while 449, 538 patients are no more(18, 833 new and 278 deaths*) and Brazil which has reported 21, 516, 967 all time cases and 599,359 deaths(38, 421 new and 1207 deaths*).

The United Kingdom remains the 4^th country most hit, reporting 8, 044, 340 all time infections and 137, 689 deaths (38, 907 new 145 deaths*), followed by Russia which has documented 7, 548, 944 confirmations, while 208, 842 patients have passed on(24, 479 new and 910 deaths*) and France, now reporting 7, 305, 002 all time infections, while 120, 058 lives have been consumed by the virus(177, 549 new and) .

Turkey has come up as the 7^th country worst hit by the pandemic, reporting 7, 327, 317 all time cases, while 65, 373 patients have kicked the bucket(60, 270 new and 464 deaths*), followed by Iran, which has registered 5, 662, 458 all time cases, while 121,779 patients are no more(10, 497 new and 216 deaths*) and Argentina, which has reported 5,263, 219 all time infections and 115, 379 deaths(2500 new and 96 deaths*).

Spain has come up as the 10^th country most hit, reporting 4, 969, 503 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 86, 678 patients have died from the virus (2303 new and 57 deaths*)and South Africa, the most afflicted country in Africa, with 2, 908, 768 all time cases, while 87, 981 lives have perished(1149 new and 59 deaths*).
