Coronavirus: Active cases drops to 9248 in Nigeria as 1048 patients die in Russia

LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 159 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 210, 295.

But out of the 210, 295 confirmed cases,  198, 191 patients have been treated and discharged, while  2, 856 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 9248 active cases of Coronavirus, while 1 patient died in the last 24 hours.

NCDC: 159 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria:  Kaduna – 47,  Enugu – 44, Benue – 36,  Delta – 10, Lagos – 7, Plateau – 5, Rivers – 3,  Nasarawa – 2, Bauchi -1, Bayelsa – 1,  Edo – 1, Jigawa – 1, Kano -1; 210, 295 confirmed;  198, 191 discharged; 2, 856 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

There are now 243,256,994 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide,  4, 942,021  patients have passed on while 6,783,930,489 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted globally, reporting 45, 418,697 confirmed cases of Coronavirus while 735, 717 patients have died(18, 191 new and 343 deaths#), followed by  India with 34, 159, 562  all time cases, while 453,708 lives have perished and Brazil with 21,711,843  confirmed cases and 605, 139 deaths.

The United Kingdom has come up as the 4^th country most hit, reporting 8, 775, 819 all time infections, while 139, 878 lives are no more(45, 032 new and 135 deaths#), followed by Russia which has documented 8, 078, 309 all time cases of Coronavirus, while 225,417 lives are no more(36, 728 new and 1048 deaths#) and  Turkey, now reporting  7, 800, 766   all time infections, while 68, 700 patients have passed on.

France has come up as the 7^th country worst hit,  reporting  7, 221, 941  all time cases, while 118,396 patients have kicked the bucket(6357 new and 23 deaths#), followed by Iran with 5, 851, 670  all time infections and  125,052  deaths(7081 new and 124 deaths#) and Argentina, which has registered  5, 278, 910  total cases of Coronavirus while 115,819  patients have passed on.

Spain remains the 10^th country most hit, reporting  4, 997, 732  confirmations and 87, 132 deaths and South Africa, which has documented  2, 919, 332 all time cases, while 88, 914 patients have passed(449 new and 23 deaths#).
