LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 284 cases of Coronavirus pandemic in the country, bringing all time cases to 207, 978. But out of the 207, 978 cases, 195, 626 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2,756 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 9596 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 9 patients died in the last 24 hours.

There are now 238,182,278 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide,4,855,936 patients have passed on, while 6,488, 412, 234 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 44,418, 840 confirmed cases, while 713, 830 patients have kicked the bucket (81, 153 new and 808 deaths*), followed by India with 33, 971, 607 confirmed cases and 450,782 deaths (18, 132 new and 193 deaths*) and Brazil now reporting 21, 575, 820 all time cases, while 601, 011 patients have been killed by the pandemic(8639 new and 182 deaths*).
The United Kingdom remains the 4th country most hit by the pandemic, reporting 8, 232,081 confirmed cases and 138, 167 deaths(39, 540 new and 28 deaths*), followed by Russia which has documented 7, 687, 559 all time infections, while 213, 522 lives have been taken by the virus(28, 636 new and 946 deaths*) and Turkey which has registered 7, 475, 085 all time cases, while 66, 368 patients have passed on(30, 563 new and 188 deaths*).
France has come up as the 7th country most afflicted, with 7, 157, 206 registered cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 117, 963 patients could not make it alive(1140 new and 36 deaths*), followed by Iran, now reporting 5, 716, 394 confirmed cases, while 122, 868 lives have been claimed by the virus(13,504 new and 276 deaths*) and Argentina with 5, 265, 859 confirmations and 115, 473 deaths(331 new and 15 deaths*).
Spain remains the 10th country worst hit with 4, 977, 448 all time cases, while 86, 827 patients have perished(3829 new and 49 deaths*) and South Africa which has documented 2, 912,346 all time infections, while 88,346 patients are no more alive as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic(201 new and 29 deaths*).
