AWKA, Anambra, Nigeria – Over 3600 supporters of the candidate of African Acton Congress (AAC) Dr. Dozie Nwankwo were stranded in Awka, Anambra state capital after a rally. The supporters who came for the rally of the governorship candidate in  the  November 6 poll, were disappointed  after they could not get  the stipend promised  them by the organisers  of the rally .

Our reporter gathered that five  persons were drawn  from each of the  326 wards in the state and 10 persons from over 200  supporters groups that graced the occasion   across the 21 local government of the state.

One of the stranded persons who never wanted his name on print from Dokonofia Local Area told our reporter that he cannot go home without collecting transport money. He said that he did not have money to transport himself home and if they failed to give him money , he might not likely go home .

“How do they expect me to go home without collecting transport money. Do they think I will trek home to my area with my leg. They came to us and  told us that we would be given some money and we followed  them only for them to say , we will be given money later, then how do we go home  ” he asked

The trouble started   when Nwankwo  had addressed them and left the venue of the campaign, leaving everything to the organisers .
