ANAMBRA, Nigeria – Governorship candidate of Zenith Labour Party ZLP in the Anambra state November 6, poll Dr. Obiora Okonkwo has stated that he will bring his private sector experience in governance to liberate the state.
He stated this in a video circulated by his media team and made available to journalists in Awka Anambra state capital on Sunday. He said that what the state needs now are people with leadership experiences and not professional politicians, who see politics as means of income.
According him, people with real experience of governance and human management have stayed away from governance, thereby leading it to those who see it as a profession and means of income . Okonkwo said that those in the politics are using it as a means of seeking relevance without anything to offer to the society .
According to Okonkwo, so many thing have gone wrong because people like him with competencies and experiences had stayed away from governance for too long , leaving it for people with nothing to offer. He said, he is coming out to govern Anambra with his private sector experiences and lift the state to greater height .
Okonkwo assured of running the state as a business for the good of everybody.
