I want to set standard, legacy in Anambra, says Ozigbo
ORUMBA, Anambra, Nigeria – Candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP) for the Anambra state November 6 governorship election Mr. Valentine Ozigbo has stated that his mission in politics is to set standard and legacy for the state.
Ozigbo stated this on Tuesday in Ajali, Orumba north local government of Anambra state during his campaign tour in the area. He said that he will make the state proud and people will also be proud of him, if elected the governor of the state.
“Anambra people will be proud of me if elected the governor of the state. I am in the race to set standard and legacy for the state. We have suffered a lot of deprivations over the years and this is time to correct them”, he said.
Ozigbo said he had developed a template for roads, electricity, good healthcare and security, noting that these essential amenities are presently lacking in the state. He also promised to empower the youths and the women by creating many job opportunities to enable them take centre stage in the economy of the state.
According to Ozigbo, the PDP has the best materials in human and intellectual capacity to turn around the state for good. “We have better candidate in PDP , our party is better and we have better programmes for the state. Vote for PDP for Anambra to shine again” he said.
Speaking at the campaign , the former governor of Anambra state Mr. Peter Obi said , since he left office as governor, nothing has been done in the state roads, health sector , security and others. According to him, Ozigbo is coming to put right all the mess the present government has created in the state.
“Your support for Ozigbo is a support for greater Anambra. The schools in this area was built when I was governor , the roads leading to this area was built when I was governor and the present government had refused to maintains them. The so called federal roads are not in Anambra. We will maintain them because Anambra people make use of them ” he assured.
