Coronavirus: Nigeria reports 631 new cases as global deaths hit 4,549, 975

LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 631 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 193, 644. But out of the 193, 644 all time cases, 172, 294 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 488 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 18, 862 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 8 patients died in the last 24 hours.

There are now 218, 921, 481 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, 4,549, 975 patients have passed on, while 5, 361, 215, 369 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 39, 532, 544 confirmed cases, while 643,558 patients are no more, followed by India with 32,857, 937 confirmations, while 439, 529 patients have been killed by the virus and Brazil with 20, 804, 215 all time cases and 581, 150 deaths.
The United Kingdom has come up as the 4th country most hit, reporting 6, 894, 826 all time cases, while 133, 244 patients are no more, followed by France, reporting 6, 884, 063 confirmed cases and 126, 310 deaths and Russia with 6, 857, 243 all time cases, while 181, 560 patients have given up the ghost.
Turkey remains the 7th country most afflicted with 6, 412, 247 all time infections, while 57,000 patients are no more, followed by Argentina with 5, 195, 601 confirmed cases and 112, 195 deaths and Colombia, which has reported 4, 913, 031 all time cases and 125, 097 deaths.
Spain stands out as the 10th country most hit by the virus, now reporting 4, 871, 444 all time cases and 84, 640 deaths and South Africa which has documented 2, 796, 405 all time infections and 82, 914 deaths.
