LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed  379 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 195, 890. But out of the 195, 890 confirmed cases,  184, 882 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2,556 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 8452 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 4 patients died in the last 24 hours.

“NCDC: 379 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos – 138, Rivers – 44,  FCT – 26,  Ekiti – 23,  Oyo – 22,  Akwa Ibom -18,  Adamawa – 17, Delta – 17,  Anambra – 15, Edo – 14,.  Ogun – 13, Bayelsa – 8,  Niger – 7, Kwara – 6,  Gombe – 5, Plateau – 4,  Kaduna – 1, Kano – 1: 195, 890 confirmed; 184, 882 discharged;  2, 556 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

There are now 221,019, 494  confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, 4,573, 468 patients have passed on, while 5, 488, 000,502 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre,  the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 40, 011, 459  all time cases, while 648, 966 patients are no more alive(75, 358 new and 530 deaths*), followed by India with 33, 027, 621  all time cases, while 440, 752  patients are no more alive(38, 948 new and 219 deaths*) and Brazil which has reported 20, 899, 933 all time cases, while 583, 810 patients have been killed by the pandemic(22, 069 new and 448 deaths*).

The United Kingdom remains the 4^th country most afflicted, reporting 7, 051, 345 all time cases and 133, 598 deaths (40, 805 new and  45 deaths*),  followed by France which has reported 6,924, 325 all time infections, while 115, 530 patients are no more(3050 new and 129 deaths*) and Russia which has documented  6, 929, 862 confirmed cases and 184, 672 deaths(17, 487 new and 776 deaths*).

 Turkey has come up as the 7^th country most afflicted, reporting 6, 412, 247 all time cases and 57,000 deaths, followed by Argentina which has reported 5, 203, 802 all time cases and 112, 511 deaths (1397 new and 67 deaths*)  and Colombia which has registered 4, 918, 649 all time cases, while 125, 278  patients have died from the virus(1669 new and 48 deaths*).

Spain remains the 10^th country most afflicted with 4, 877, 112 confirmed cases, while 84, 928 patients have died (133 deaths*)and South Africa with 2, 824, 063 all time infections and 83, 612 deaths(4118 new and 193 deaths*).
