LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed  365 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 199, 151. But out of the 199, 151 all time cases,  186, 418 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 598 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 10, 135 active cases while 8 patients died in the last 24 hours.

There are now 224, 583, 120  confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, worldwide,  4, 629, 394 patients have passed on, while 5,677,103,019 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 40, 951, 026 all time cases, while 659, 938 patients have passed on(34, 557 new and 302 deaths*), followed by India with 33, 236, 921 all time cases, while 442,655 patients are no more(28, 591 new and 338 deaths*) and Brazil which has reported 20, 989, 164 all time cases and 586, 558 deaths have been recorded as a result of the virus(14, 314 new and 712 deaths*).

The United Kingdom remains the 4^th country most hit, reporting 7, 259, 742 all time cases, while 134, 525 patients have passed on(28, 649 new and 56 deaths*), followed by Russia, now reporting 7, 037, 435 all time cases, while 189, 319 patients are no more(18, 235 new and 773 deaths*) and France with 6, 990, 662 confirmed cases, while 116, 124 patients are already dead as a result of the pandemic(7979 new and  29 deaths*).

Turkey remains the 7^th country most hit, reporting 6, 658, 228  confirmed cases and 59, 886 deaths(44, 282 new and 502 deaths*), followed by Iran, which has reported 5, 295, 786  all time cases, while 114,311 patients have been killed by the virus(20, 219 new and 487 deaths*) and Argentina which has documented 5, 223, 604 confirmed cases and  113, 356 deaths(1795 new and 74 deaths*).

Colombia continues as the 10^th country worst hit by the pandemic,  reporting 4, 930, 249 all time infections, while 125, 647 lives have been lost to the virus(3477 new and 118 deaths*) and South Africa, the most afflicted country in Africa with 2, 858, 195 all time cases, while 84, 877  lives have been taken by the pandemic(3961 new and 126 deaths*).
