LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 337 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 201, 294. But out of the 201, 294 confirmed cases, 189, 608 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 649 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 9037 active cases, while 9 patients died in the last 24 hours.

Globally, there are now 227, 488, 179 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, 4, 676, 843 patients are no more alive, while 5, 853, 632, 564 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 41, 919, 447 confirmed cases, while 671, 911 patients are already dead(139, 076 new and 1974 deaths*), followed by India with 33,381, 728 confirmed cases, while 444, 248 patients are no more(34, 403 new and 320 deaths*), and Brazil with 21, 069, 017 confirmations, while 589, 240 patients are now dead.
The United Kingdom remains the 4th country most hit by the virus, reporting 7, 405, 773 all time infections, while 135, 312 patients have passed on(32, 385 new 178 deaths*), followed by Russia which has documented 7, 130, 245 all time cases and 193, 111 deaths(19, 589 new and 771 deaths*) and France with 7, 029, 959 all time cases, while 116, 610 patients are no more(8868 new and 104 deaths*) .
Turkey is the 7th country most afflicted, reporting 6, 794, 670 all time cases, while 61, 140 patients have been killed by the virus(27, 692 new and 237 deaths*), followed by Iran, which has reported 5, 396, 013 all time cases, while 116, 436 lives have been wasted by the virus(17, 605 new and 364 deaths*) and Argentina, which has documented 5, 234, 851 confirmed cases and 114,101 deaths.
Colombia has been pushed down to the 10th spot, reporting 4, 936, 052 all time cases, while 125, 782 patients have perished from the pandemic and South Africa, the most afflicted country in Africa, reporting 2, 877, 063 confirmations, while 85, 952 patients have kicked the bucket(3648 new and 173 deaths*).
