The Wildlife Conservation Society works with the Bauchi State government to help protect the elephant population in Yankari including deployment of satellite collars which help to provide real time information about the location of the elephants so that rangers can protect them properly and to help mitigate human elephant conflict issues. We are grateful for the support from Tusk, Elephant Crisis Fund, Elephant Protection Initiative, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the @UNEP African Elephant Fund.
