LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 505 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 175, 264. But out of the 175, 264 confirmed cases,  165,  122 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 163 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with  7979 active cases of Coronavirus, while 3 patients died in the last 24 hours.

NCDC: 505 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos – 273, Rivers- 83, Oyo -45, Ondo – 22, Cross River – 18, Kaduna – 13, Ogun – 10, CCT- 8,  Ekiti – 7, Delta – 6,  Bayelsa – 3, Edo – 2, Niger – 1:  175, 264 confirmed; 165, 122 discharged; 2, 163 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

There are now 199, 371,082  confirmed cases  of Coronavirus pandemic,  4,243, 679  patients have passed on, while 4, 141, 144, 792 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered globally based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 35, 205, 221 confirmed cases, while 614,196 patients are already dead(82, 952 new and 330 deaths*), followed by  India with 31, 726, 507  confirmations while 425, 195 patients are no more(30,  549 new and 422 deaths*) and  Brazil with 19, 985,817  all time cases, while 558, 432 patients are now dead(32, 316 new and 1209 deaths*).

Russia has come up as the 4th country  most hit, reporting 6, 251, 953 all time cases and 158, 263 deaths(21, 471 new and 767 deaths*)  followed by France with 6, 242, 569  confirmed cases, while 112,184 patients have passed on(32, 511 new 109 deaths*), followed by  the United Kingdom which has reported 5, 951, 557 all time  infections, while 130, 178 patients have passed on(21, 771 new and 139 deaths*).

Turkey, now 7th most hit has has reported 5, 770, 833  confirmed cases, while 51, 519 patients have passed on, followed Argentina, which has documented 4, 947,  030  all cases and 106, 045 deaths, and Colombia which has reported 4, 801, 050 all time cases, while 121,216 patients are no more.

Spain has come up as the 10th country most hit, reporting 4, 523,310 all time cases, while 81, 773  patients have perished(20, 327 new and 130 deaths*) and South Africa which documented 2, 470, 746 all time cases, while 72, 992 patients are no more(8988 new and 555 deaths*).
