Corps member ready for Nov.6 governorship poll- Coordinator

ONITSHA, Nigeria – Anambra State Coordinator of National Youths Service Corps (NYSC), Mrs Yetunde Baberinwa has stated that the corps members deployed to the state are ready for the November 6, governorship election.
She disclosed this on Saturday during the scheme cultural carnival held at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Orientation camp Umuawulu / Mgbakwu in Awka South Local Government Area of the State.
According to her, corps members have been given orientation and training on the forthcoming governorship election in the state by both the NYSC management and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
She said that they have registered online to participate in the conduct of the election in the state . “The corps members have had their trainings by INEC in the camp and they will still have more trainings to enable them adequately handle the election” he said.
Baberinwa said the youth corpers are in good spirit and have conditioned their minds to serve the country and to ensure a seamless and credible election in the state.
She also stated that cultural carnival was designed to educate the young ones from various tribes and culture about the diverse culture of the country.
“The cultural day celebration is to bring various culture close to the young ones to appreciate and get familarised with them and to relate friendly with each others .
It is also meant for each corp member to accommodate each others on camp and beyond ” she said .
