LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 132 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 169, 206. But out of the 169, 206 confirmed cases, 164, 666 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 126 patients have passed on.
“NCDC: 132 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos – 109, Rivers – 16, Gombe- 3, Katsina – 2, FCT – 1, Nasarawa – 1: 169, 206 confirmed; 164, 666 discharged; 2, 126 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.
There are now 189, 333,625 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4, 071, 118 Nigerians have been killed by the pandemic, while 3, 566, 225, 630 Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, globally, now reporting 34, 046, 437 confirmed cases, while 608, 766 patients have passed on (74, 679 new cases and 408 deaths*), followed by India which has documented 31, 026, 829 all time cases and 412, 531 deaths(38, 949 new cases and 542 deaths*) and Brazil which has registered 19, 262, 518 all time cases, while 538, 942 lives have perished.
France has come up as the 4th country most afflicted, reporting 5, 906, 421 all time cases, while 111, 641 patients have died(10, 984 new cases and 22 deaths*), followed by Russia with 5, 835, 523 all time cases, while 144, 446 lives are no more(25, 188 new cases and 789 deaths*) and Turkey with 5,507, 455 all time cases, while 50, 415 lives have perished.
The United Kingdom has come up as the 7th country most hit, reporting 5, 352, 608 all time infections, while 128, 913 patients are no more(51, 753 new cases and 541 deaths*), followed by Argentina which has documented 4, 719, 952 all time cases and 100, 695 deaths(17, 295 new cases and 445 deaths*) and Colombia with 4, 583, 442 confirmed cases, while 114,833 patients have died(18, 070 new cases and 496 deaths*).
Italy has come up as the 10th country most hit, reporting 4, 281, 214 all time cases and 127, 851 deaths(2895 new cases and 11 deaths*) and South Africa(18) which has reported 2, 269, 179 all time cases, while 66, 385 patients have given up the ghost(15, 939 new cases and 413 deaths*).
