NDLEA arrests top Anambra drug kingpin

ANAMBRA, Nigeria – Officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA have arrested notorious drug kingpin, Okeke Chijioke in Anambra State.
Officials in addition recovered 548,000 tablets of tramadol branded tarkadol from his warehouse at 3 Atunya Street, Maryland Estate, Nkwelle, Oyi Local Government, Anambra State.
Okeke Chijioke was arrested on Saturday, July 10, following intelligence that he stocked his warehouse with the illicit drugs. After a thorough search of the warehouse, a total of 548,000 tablets of tarkadol, weighing 302, 500 kilograms of the products were recovered.
Okeke Chijioke, the agency said accepted ownership of the product. The NDLEA, revealed that investigation revealed tarkadol to be a brand of tramadol that has just been introduced into the market as a decoy adding that product tested positive to amphetamine.
