Ondo First Lady redeems pledge to NYSC beyond expectation
AKURE, Ondo, Nigeria – The First Lady and the wife of the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu has redeemed the pledge she made during the last 2021 Batch ‘A’ (Stream II) orientation course.
Arabinrin Akeredolu had during the Exhibition/Closing ceremony of Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme promised to give the floor of the Multipurpose Hall a facelift.
The First Lady in the course of the visit said that she received inspiration to impact positively on the society during her NYSC service year in old Kano State.
The wife of the governor who is widely known and respected as a philanthropist of no mean standard is a 1977 graduate of Zoology from the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka, and equally noted for her incurable act of kindness and generosity, surpassed the expectations of the camp community after completing the flooring.
Despite her numerous commitments to widows in the society and her huge investment on girl child to train and empower them in various skills and vocations, the feminist and gender activist gifted SAED Branch a new Thermocool six burners/oven gas cooker with cylinder.
Presenting the equipment on behalf of the First Lady to SAED Committee on camp, the State Coordinator, Mrs. Victoria Nnenna Ani thanked Arabinrin Akeredolu for her numerous interventions made to the scheme since her husband came to power about four and half years ago.
The State Coordinator said that the First Lady who is the founder of Breast Cancer Association of Nigeria (BRECAN) has demonstrated her support to the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme of the NYSC.
The NYSC Ondo State boss said that the name of the aquaculturist wife of the Governor of the Sunshine State will remain evergreen in the history of the Scheme.
