TOKYO, Japan – Jamaican female sprinter, Elaine Thompson-Herah today broke 33 year old track and field record in 100 metres at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic game.

Thompson-Herah breaks 33-year-old Olympic record when she  clocked 10.61 seconds to clinch the Olympic gold medal in 100 metres.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce  clocked 10.74 seconds to clinch silver, while Shericka Jackson  clocked 10.76  to pick the bronze medal

In the starting line up was Daryll Neita in lane 2, Teahna Daniels in 3, Elaine Thompson-Herah in 4, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce in 5, Marie-Josée Ta Lou in 6, Shericka Jackson in 7, Ajla del Ponte in 8, Mujinga Kambundji in 9.
