Again, EFCC detains Bukola Saraki

LAGOS, Nigeria – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has arrested former President of the Nigerian Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki.
He was arrested in connection with allegation of fraud and money laundering. This is the second time the former governor of Kwara State is having a brawl with the commission for alleged fraud.
The EFCC had arrested and charged him to court between 2015 and 2019 on charges of fraud and false declaration of assets. He was exonerated of all charges in 2018 when the Supreme Court discharged and acquitted him.
In the latest onslaught, officials of the commission told Premium Times that the commission has laid hold on proxy companies the former President of the Senate used to perpetrate the fraudulent allegation.
This arrest, we gathered was based on fresh allegations made by the Kwara State Government.
