LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 213 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 171, 324. But out of the 171, 324 all time cases,  164, 798 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 134 patients could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 4392 active cases, while 2 patients died in the last 24 hours.

There are now 194, 566,584 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4, 164, 189 patients have died of the virus, while 3, 875, 892, 763 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States of America remains the most afflicted country, reporting 34, 520, 513  confirmed cases, while 610, 915 patients have passed on(119, 858 new and 195 deaths*), followed by India, which has documented  31,411, 262 all time cases and 420,967 deaths(118, 200 new and 1497 deaths*)  and Brazil which has registered 19, 688, 663  all time cases, while 549, 924  patients have died from the pandemic (56, 220 new and 1544 deaths*).

Russia has come up as the 4th country most hit, reporting 6,071, 893 all time cases, while 152,069 patients have died(69, 590 new and  2273 deaths*), followed by France,  which has reported 6, 056, 842 confirmations and 111,812 deaths(41, 373 new and 34 deaths*) and the United Kingdom, which has documented 5, 747, 808 all time infections,  while 129, 460 patients have kicked the bucket(84, 970 new and 130 deaths*).

Turkey remains the 7th country most hit, with 5, 618, 417 all time cases, while 50, 997 patients are no more(43, 420 new and 176 deaths*), followed by  Argentina, which has reported 4, 846, 615 total cases, while 103, 721 patients have passed on(18, 642 new and 362 deaths*) and Colombia which has documented 4, 727, 846  all time cases and 111,868 deaths(22, 112 new*).

Spain has displaced Italy as the 10th country most afflicted, reporting  4, 342,054  all time infections, while 81, 268 lives have been wasted and South Africa, now the 17th country most hit, reporting 2, 383, 490  confirmed cases, while 70, 018  patients have died(27, 441 new and 943 deaths*).
