LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirmed 186 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 168, 442, But out of the 168, 442 confirmed cases, 164, 323 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 122 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 1997 active cases of Coronavirus.
“NCDC: 186 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria: Lagos – 175, Rivers – 8, Gombe- 3: 168, 442 confirmed; 164, 323 discharged; 2, 122 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.
There are now 185, 922, 491 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4, 014, 599 patients have been killed by the pandemic, while 3,386, 507, 654 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide, based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 33, 810, 904 all time cases, while 607, 783 lives are no more(23, 533 new cases and 1340 deaths*), followed by India which has reported 30, 752, 950 confirmed cases and 405, 939 deaths(43, 393 new cases and 911 deaths*) and Brazil which has documented 19, 020, 499 all time infections, while 531, 688 lives have perished(57, 737 new cases and 1509 deaths*).
France remains the 4th country most hit, reporting 5, 865, 767 confirmations, while 111, 492 lives are no more (4643 new cases and 19 deaths*), followed by Russia which has documented 5, 644,200 confirmed cases, while 139, 156 lives are gone(5299 new cases and 915 deaths*) and Turkey with 5, 465, 094 confirmed cases and 50, 096 deaths.
The United Kingdom remains the 7th country most afflicted, reporting 5, 075, 613 confirmations, while 128, 630 lives have passed on(35, 663 new cases and 30 deaths*) and Argentina with 4, 613, 019 all time cases, while 97, 904 patients have perished(19, 256 new cases and 465 deaths*) and Colombia which has documented 4, 450, 086 all time cases, while 111, 155 patients are no more(23, 275 new cases and 577 deaths*).
Italy is now the 10th country most hit by the virus, reporting 4, 268, 491 all time cases, while 127, 756 others have perished(1386 new cases and 25 deaths*) and South Africa now the 18th most affected country. South Africa is reporting 2, 157, 687 all time cases and 63, 873 deaths (22, 441 new cases and 374 deaths*).
