Coronavirus: USA reports 74, 753 new cases and Nigeria 272

LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 272 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 170, 895. But out of the 170, 895 confirmed cases, 164, 788 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 132 patients could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 3975 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic.

There are now 193, 165, 622 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4, 143,105 lives have been wasted while 3, 813, 852, 486 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 34, 400, 655 confirmed cases, while 610, 720 patients have passed on(74, 753 new and 289 deaths*), followed by India, which has reported 31,293, 062 confirmations, while 419, 470 patients are already dead and Brazil which has documented 19, 632, 443 all time cases and 548, 380 all time deaths(40 deaths*).
France remains the 4th country most afflicted, reporting 6, 015, 469 all time cases, while 111, 778 patients have lost their lives, followed by Russia with 6,002, 303 confirmations, while 149,796 patients have died and United Kingdom which has documented 5, 662, 838 all time cases, while 129, 330 patients have given up the ghost(412 deaths*).
Turkey has been pushed back to the 7th country most hit by the pandemic, reporting 5, 574, 997 all time infections, while 50, 821 patients have lost their lives, followed by Argentina which has documented 4, 827, 973 all time cases, while 103, 359 patients have passed on and Colombia, with 4, 705, 734 confirmations, while 118, 188 patients have died.
Italy has come up as the 10th country most hit by the virus, reporting 4, 307, 535 all time cases and 127, 937 deaths and South Africa, which has documented 2, 356, 049 all time cases, while 69, 075 patients have kicked the bucket.
