Coronavirus claims 2726 lives in India as Nigeria reports 17 cases

 LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirmed 17 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic in the country, bringing all time cases to 167, 095. But out of the 167,095 confirmed cases, 163,483 patients have been treated and discharged while 2,117 others could not make it alive.

There are now 176, 406, 322 confirmed cases of  Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 3, 814, 982  patients have  died as a result of the pandemic, while 2, 399, 501, 028 doses of Coronavirus vaccines  have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre , the United States remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 33, 481, 701 all time cases, while 600, 172 patients have lost their lives(10, 299 new and 229 deaths*), followed by India which has registered 29, 570,  881 all time infections, while 377, 031 lives have been wasted by the pandemic(60, 471 new and 2726 deaths*) and Brazil which has reported 17, 452,612 all time cases, while 488, 228 patients have been killed by the virus(39,846 new and 827 deaths*).

France is now the  4^th country, now reporting  5, 806, 247  all time infections, while 110, 692 patients have passed on(3244 new and 76 deaths*), followed by Turkey which has reported  5, 342, 028  confirmed cases, while 48, 879 lives have been claimed by the pandemic(5955 new and 84 deaths*) and Russia which has reported 5, 176, 051  all time cases, while 125,055 patients are no more (14,002 new and 374 deaths*)

The United Kingdom has come up as the 7^th country most afflicted, reporting 4, 596, 987 all time infections, while 128, 181  lives have been killed by the pandemic(7602 new and 10 deaths*), followed by Italy which has reported 4,  247, 032  all time cases, while 127, 101 patients  are already dead(1253 new and 63 deaths*) and Argentina which has  confirmed  4, 145, 482  cases while  86, 029  patients have passed on(21, 292 new and 686 deaths*).

Colombia remains the 10^th country most afflicted, reporting 3, 777,  600  all time cases, while 96, 366 patients are no more(24, 376 new and 588 deaths*) and South Africa(19) which has reported  1, 702, 156 all time infections, while 58, 087 other patients have passed on(208 deaths*).
