LAGOS, Nigeria –  The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirmed 13 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases in the country to  167, 155. But out of the 167, 155 all time cases, 163, 540 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2117 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 1, 498 active cases of Coronavirus.

Globally, confirmed cases of Coronavirus now stands as 177,589,640 cases,  3,845, 080 patients have already passed on while  2, 526,016, 869 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered based on latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 33,517, 508  all time cases, while 601, 243  lives have been wasted(11, 945 new and 363 deaths*), followed by India, which has documented 29, 762, 793 confirmations, while 383, 490 patients have been killed by the pandemic(62,480 new and 1587 deaths*)  and Brazil which has documented  17, 702, 630  all time cases, while 496, 004 patients have passed on as a result of the pandemic(74,042 new and 2311 deaths*).

France is the 4^th country most hit, now reporting 5,814, 642  all time cases, while 110,864 patients have passed on(3186 new and 68 deaths*), followed by Turkey, which has reported 5, 359, 728 all time cases, while 49, 071 patients are no more(5575 new and 59 deaths*) and Russia which has confirmed 5, 220, 168  all time cases, while 126, 300 lives have been wasted by the pandemic(17,051 new and 447 deaths*).

The United Kingdom remains the 7^th country most hit, reporting 4, 626, 899 registered cases of the pandemic, while 128, 220 lives are no more(10, 283 new and 11 deaths*), followed by  Italy which has reported 4, 250, 902  all time infections,  127, 225 patients are now dead(1147 new and 35 deaths*), while Argentina has documented 4, 222,400 all time infections while 87, 789 lives have been wasted(23, 780 new and 528 deaths*).

Colombia has come up as the 10^th country most afflicted, now reporting 3, 859, 824 confirmations, while 98, 156 lives have been consumed by the pandemic (29, 945 new and  596 deaths*) and South Africa which has documented 1, 796, 589  all time cases, while 58, 441 patients are no more(10, 510 new and 118 deaths*).
