MARYALAND, U.S. – Globally, there are now 175, 829,155 all time cases of Coronavirus, 3,798,638 lives have been swept away by the virus, while 2, 342,459, 369 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered based on the latest updates from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland, United States.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 33, 461, 576 all time infections, while 599, 768 lives have been taken by the pandemic(7182 new and 142 deaths*), followed by India which has reported 29, 439, 989 confirmed cases of the pandemic, while 370, 384 patients have lost their lives(80,834 new and 3303 deaths*) and Brazil which has documented 17, 412, 766 all time cases, while 487, 401 patients have been killed by the Coronavirus pandemic(116, 648 new and 3166 deaths*).
France remains the 4th country most afflicted, now reporting 5, 802, 314 all time infections, while 110, 553 lives are no more(2855 new and 13 deaths*), followed by Turkey, which has registered 5, 330, 447 confirmed cases, while 48, 721 patients have died from the pandemic(5012 new and 53 deaths*), and Russia which has reported 5, 143, 499 all time cases, while 124, 314 patients are no more(9561 new and 353 deaths*) .
The United Kingdom has continued as the 7th country most hit, with 4, 581,766 confirmed cases, while 128, 168 patients have lost their lives to the pandemic(7321 new and 8 deaths*), followed by Italy with 4, 244,872 all time infections, while 127,002 patients have died from the pandemic(1390 new and 26 deaths*) and Argentina, which has documented 4, 111, 147 confirmations, while 85, 075 patients have passed on(18,057 new and 447 deaths*).
Spain remains the 10th country most afflicted, reporting 3, 733, 600 all time infection while 80, 501 patients are no more and South Africa(20) which reported 1, 747, 082 confirmed cases, while 57, 765 lives have been wasted by the Coronavirus pandemic(7657 new and 59 deaths*).
