Coronavirus kills 2123 Indians in 1 day as Nigeria documents 102 cases

LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 102 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic in the country,  bringing all time cases to 166,918. Out of the 166,918 confirmed cases, 163,259 patients have been treated and discharged, while  2,117  others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 1, 542 active cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 173, 766, 202 confirmed cases of Coronavirus,  3, 740, 609 patients are no more, while  2, 175, 179, 327  doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been  administered worldwide, based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States of America remains the most afflicted country, reporting 33, 387, 931 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, while 598, 353 patients have kicked the bucket(13, 119 new cases and 455 deaths*), followed by India which has reported 28, 996, 473 all time infections, while 351,309 patients are no more(86, 498 new and 2123 deaths*) and Brazil which has registered 16, 984, 218 confirmations, while 474, 414 patients have been killed by the Coronavirus pandemic(37, 156 new and 1010 deaths*)  .

France is the 4^th country most afflicted, now reporting 5, 781, 553 all time cases, while 110, 299 lives have died as a result of the pandemic (6028 new and 75 deaths*) and Turkey which has documented 5, 300, 236 all time cases, while 48, 341 patients have lost their lives (6609 new and 86 deaths*) and Russia which has reported 5, 086, 386 confirmations, while 122, 409 lives have been wasted by the pandemic(9843 new and 372 deaths*).

The United Kingdom comes up as the 7^th country most affected, reporting 4, 544, 365   all time cases, while 128, 117 lives are no more (5979 new and 13 deaths*), followed by Italy which has registered 4, 235,592 all time cases, while 126,690   patients have passed on(1894 new and 102 deaths*) and Argentina which has reported 3, 977, 634  confirmed cases, while  81,946  patients are no more(22, 195 new and 732 deaths*).

Germany is the 10^th country most afflicted, reporting 3, 712, 595 confirmations, while 89, 434 patients have kicked the bucket (2, 254 new and 129 deaths*) and South Africa which has documented 1,704, 058 all time infections, while 57, 183 lives are no more (7494 new and 209 deaths*).
