Erdogan tasks UN as US shows ironclad support for Israel’s bombardment of Gaza

TURKEY – President of Turkey, Recep Tayip Erdogan has called for stoppage of current bombardment of Gaza by Israel, noting that unless the action of Israel is stopped, no person on earth will have any confidence left in the international organisations or rules.
Erdogan spoke even as the United States of America has expressed its ironclad support for Israel’s bombardment of Gaza. Secretary of Defence, Lloyd J Austin to Israel’s Minister of Defence, Benny Gantz on telephone that the Israel has legitimate right to defend itself and its people.
He also condemned Hamas for launching rockets into Israel.
“ Secretary Austin conveyed the Department’s ironclad support for Israel’s legitimate right to defend itself and its people, and he strongly condemned the launching of rockets by Hamas and other terrorists groups that targeted Israeli civilians.
“ He reiterated the importance of all involved parties to take steps to restore calm”
But Erdogan believes that Israel’s actions are against the decisions by humanity’s common organizations, fundamental human rights, the international law and all human values and that the action must be stopped immediately.
Erdogan said unless, Israel is stopped, no person on earth will have any confidence left in the international organisations or rules.
“ Unless the UN security Council puts an end to this atrocity, through immediate and effective measures, it will mean that it is unconditionally accepts the crooked situation which we described as “the World is bigger than 5”.
“It should not be forgotten that Al-quds is the entire world and the Muslims there are the entire humanity”, Erdogan said.
