LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirmed 47 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases in the country to  165,515, while 156,358 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2,065 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7092 active cases of Coronavirus.

 “NCDC@NCDC gov 47 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Adamawa-19, Lagos-16, Enugu-3, Kaduna-3, Akwa Ibom-2, Delta-2 and FCT-2:  165,515 confirmed; 156,358 discharged ;2,065 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

There are now 159, 172, 466 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 3,308,698 patients have passed on, while 95,212, 351 others have recovered. The world is now left with 60, 651, 417  active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country worldwide, now reporting 32, 772, 104 confirmed cases of the pandemic while 582,775 others have passed on(39, 915 new and 738 deaths*), followed by India which has documented 22, 992, 517 confirmations, 249, 992 patients have passed on, while 19,  027, 304 others have recovered, leaving India with 13, 715, 221 active cases of Coronavirus(329, 942 new and 3876 deaths*) and Brazil which had reported 15, 282, 705 confirmations, 425, 540 patients have passed on, while 13, 508, 333 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Brazil with 1, 272, 382 active cases of Coronavirus(97, 915 new and 3, 200 deaths*).

France has come up as the 4th country most afflicted, reporting 5, 861, 384  confirmed cases of Coronavirus,  107, 096 patients are no more, while 373, 975 others have been treated and discharged, leaving France with 1, 380, 313 active cases of Coronavirus(19, 798 new and 251 deaths*), followed by Turkey which has confirmed 5,059, 433 cases,  43, 589 lives have been wasted by the pandemic, while 4, 766, 124 others have survived, leaving Turkey with 249, 720 active cases of Coronavirus(14, 497 new and 278 deaths*) and Russia now reporting 4, 840, 948 all time cases, 112,063 patients are already dead, while 4, 458, 408 others are now hale and hearty, leaving Russia with 270, 477 active cases of Coronavirus(7989 new and 323 deaths*).

The United Kingdom has come up as the 7th country most hit, reporting 4, 455, 440  confirmations, 127, 890 deaths and 15, 128 others have been treated and discharged, leaving the UK with 4, 312, 422 current cases of Coronavirus(2505 new and 21 deaths*), followed by Italy which has registered  4, 123, 230  all time infections, 123, 282  lives are no more, while 3, 636, 089 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Italy with 363, 859 active cases of Coronavirus(6943 new and 251 deaths*) and Spain which has documented 3, 586, 333  confirmations,  79, 100 patients have lost their lives, while 150, 376 others have recovered, leaving Spain with 3, 356, 857 active cases of Coronavirus(4941 new and 205 deaths*).

 

Germany remains the 10th country most hit, reporting 3, 547, 911  all time cases, 85, 206 patients have been killed by the pandemic, while 3, 210, 380 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Germany with 252, 325 active cases of Coronavirus(9738 new 299 deaths*) and South Africa which has reported 1, 599, 272 confirmed cases, 54, 896 patients have been killed by the virus, while 1, 519, 258 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving South Africa with 25, 118 active cases of Coronavirus(2677 new and 161 deaths*).
