Jehovah’s Witness to appeal ban of JW Library App by Russia

ST PETERSBURG, Russia – Jehovah’s Witnesses will appeal the decision of the Oktyabrskiy District Court to ban JW Library App.
Recall that the Oktyabrskiy District Court of St. Petersburg had declared the JW Library app extremist and banned its use throughout the Russian Federation and Crimea.
The JW Library App is loaded with a publication that helps to explains the Holy Bible. Among the publications on the app include the Holy Bible, Draw Close to Jehovah, How To Remain in God’s Love, Jesus The Way the Truth, Learn From the Great Teacher, My Book of Bible Stories and Live With Jehovah’s Day In Mind as well as Awake among others.
All the publications promote obedience to constituted authorities and are in public use all over the world except in Russia where publications that promote the fear of God and respect for constituted authorities extremist materials.
Recall that the Russia had also declared the Holy Bible an extremist publication after outlawing Jehovah’s Witnesses as a religion organization in Russia.
The ban on JW App is the latest in Russia’s onslaught against the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
