Coronavirus cases worsens in India as Nigeria reports 44 new cases

LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 44 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 163,837. But out of the 163,837 confirmed cases, 154,177 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2,061 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7599 active cases of Coronavirus, while 1 patient died in the last 24 hours.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows Enugu-22, Lagos-15, FCT-4, Osun-2 and Kaduna-1, making a total of 44 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 136,315,604 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 2, 941,212 patients have passed on while, 77,641,734 others have been given clean bill of health. The world is now left with 55, 732, 658 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, John Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 31,259, 849 confirmed cases while 562, 500 others are now dead, (66, 804 new and 423 deaths*) followed by India which has reported 13, 527, 717 confirmed cases, 170, 179 patients are already dead, while 12, 156,529 others have been treated and discharged, leaving India with 1, 201, 009 active cases of Coronavirus(168, 912 new and 904 deaths*) and Brazil which has documented 13, 482, 023 all time cases, 353, 137 deaths and 11, 888,078 recoveries, leaving Brazil with 1, 240, 808 active cases of Coronavirus(37, 017 new and 1803 deaths*).
France has come up as the 4th country worst hit by the pandemic, reporting 5, 128, 126 all time cases, 99, 294 patients are already dead, while 317,763 others have recovered, leaving France with 4, 711,069 active cases of Coronavirus(8541 new and 385 deaths*), followed by Russia which has reported 4, 597, 400 all time infections, 101, 552 deaths and 4, 223, 590 recoveries, leaving Russia with 272, 258 active cases of Coronavirus(8191 new and 270 deaths*) and the United Kingdom which has registered 4, 388, 296 confirmed cases, 127, 346 patients are no more, while 13, 605 others have been treated and discharged, leaving the UK with 4, 247, 345 active cases of Coronavirus(3686 new and 13 deaths*).
Turkey remains the 7th country worst hit, now reporting 3, 903, 573 confirmations, 34, 182 patients are no more, while 3, 372, 629 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving Turkey with 496, 762 active cases of Coronavirus(54,562 new and 243 deaths*), followed by Italy which has registered 3, 779, 594 all time cases, 114, 612 lives have been lost while 3, 140, 565 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Italy with 524, 417 active cases of Coronavirus(9780 new 358 deaths*) and Spain which has reported 3, 370, 256 all time infections, 76, 525 patients are no more, while 150, 376 others have recovered, leaving Spain with 3, 143, 355 active cases of Coronavirus(22, 744 new and 197 deaths*).
Germany, the 10th most afflicted country has reported 3, 024, 604 all time cases of the pandemic, 78, 572 patients are no more, while 2, 694, 030 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Germany with 252, 002 active cases of Coronavirus(12, 446 new and 147 deaths*) and South Africa which has registered 1, 559, 113 all time infections, 53, 356 deaths and 1, 484, 356 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 21, 401 active cases of Coronavirus(655 new and 34 deaths*).
