LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, (NCDC) has confirmed 26 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 164,233. But out of the 164,233 confirmed cases, 154,332 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2,061 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7840 active cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 141, 011, 168 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 3, 014, 748  patients are no more, while 80, 499, 514 others have recovered. The world is now left with 57, 496, 906 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country,  now reporting  31, 663,304 confirmed cases, while 567, 180 others have been killed by the pandemic(44, 726 new and 317 deaths*), followed by India which has registered 14, 788, 109 all time cases, 177, 150 patients are no more, while 12,809, 643 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving India with 1, 801, 316 active cases of Coronavirus(261, 500 new and 1501 deaths*) and Brazil with 13, 900,091 confirmation,  371,678 patients are no more, while 12, 243,464 others have recovered and subsequently discharged, leaving Brazil with 1, 284, 949 active cases of Coronavirus(67, 636 new and 2929 deaths*) .

France remains the 4th country most hit, reporting 5, 350, 520 confirmed cases, 100, 892 lives have been lost by the pandemic, while 327,586 others have survived , leaving France with 4, 922, 042  active cases of Coronavirus(29, 352 new and  140 deaths*), followed by Russia  with 4, 649, 044 all time cases,  103, 834 lives have been lost to the virus, while 4, 277, 597  others  have been  given clean bill of health, leaving  Russia with 267, 613 active cases of Coronavirus(8507 new and 383 deaths*) and the United Kingdom which has documented  4,403, 058 all time cases, 127, 518 patients have been killed by the pandemic, while 13, 983 others have been treated and discharged, leaving the UK with 4, 261, 557 active cases of Coronavirus(1945 new and 11 deaths*).

Turkey has come up as the 7th country most hit by the virus,  reporting  4, 268,  447 all time cases,  35, 926 patients are no more, while  3, 687, 590 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving Turkey with   544, 931  active cases of Coronavirus(55, 802 new and 318 deaths*) followed by Italy now reporting 3, 870, 131 all time cases, 116, 927 lives have been lost, while 3, 248, 593 others  have survived the pandemic, leaving Italy with  504, 611 active cases of Coronavirus(12, 688 new and 251 deaths*) and  Spain with 3, 407, 283 confirmed cases,  76,981 deaths  and  150, 376 recoveries, leaving Spain with 3, 179, 926 active cases of Coronavirus.

Germany has come up as the 10th country worst hit, reporting 3, 155,522  confirmation,  79, 979  deaths and  2, 784, 660 recoveries, leaving Germany with 290, 883 active cases of Coronavirus(15, 934 new and 69 deaths*)  and South Africa  with 1, 565,680  all time  cases,  53, 736 deaths and  1, 490, 143 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 21, 801 active cases of Coronavirus(1,325 new and 25 deaths*).
