Coronavirus claims 1480 lives in Brazil as active cases drops to 1480 in Nigeria

LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirmed 74 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases in the country to 163,911. But out of the 163,911 confirmed cases 154,225 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2,061 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 7625 active cases of Coronavirus.

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-30, Enugu-11, FCT-11, Akwa Ibom-8, Osun-5, Kaduna-4, Ebonyi-2, Rivers-2 and Ekiti-1, making a total of 74 new cases of Coronavirus.

However, confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide has reached 137,053, 483 cases, while 2, 951, 588 patients are no more, while 78, 072, 097 patients have been given clean bill of health. The world is now left with 56, 029, 798 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 31, 325,853 confirmed cases while 563,267 patients have lost their lives to the pandemic(66,004 new and 767 deaths*), followed by India which has now registered 13,689,453 all time cases, 171, 058 deaths and 12, 253,697 recoveries, leaving India with 1, 264, 698 confirmed cases of Coronavirus(161, 736 new and 879 deaths*) and Brazil which has reported 13, 517, 808 confirmed cases, 354, 617 patients are no more, while 11, 917, 055 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Brazil with 1, 246, 136 active cases of Coronavirus(35, 785 new and 1480 deaths*).

France has come up as the 4^th country most hit, reporting 5, 167, 253 all time cases, 99, 639 lives have been lost to the virus, while 319, 880 others have recovered, leaving France with 4, 747, 734 active cases of Coronavirus(39, 127 new and 345 deaths*), followed by Russia which has registered 4, 605, 444 all time infections, 101, 882 Russians have passed on while 4, 233, 065 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Russia with 270, 496 active cases of Coronavirus(8044 new and 330 deaths*) and the United Kingdom which has reported 4, 390, 797 all time cases, 127,369 patients are already dead, while 13, 658 others are now hale and hearty, leaving the UK with 4, 249, 770 active cases of Coronavirus(2501 and 23 deaths*).

Turkey is the 7^th country worst hit with 3, 962, 760 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 34, 455 deaths and 3, 424,733 recoveries, leaving Turkey with 503, 572 active cases of Coronavirus(59, 187 new and 273 deaths*), followed by Italy with 3, 793, 033 confirmed cases, 115,088 patients are no more, 3, 158, 725 patients have been treated and discharged, leaving Italy with 519, 220 active cases of Coronavirus(13,439 new and 476 deaths*) and Spain with 3, 376, 548 confirmations, 76, 625 deaths, while 150, 376 patients have been treated and discharged, leaving Spain with 3, 149, 547 active cases of Coronavirus(6292 new and 100 deaths*).

Germany has remained as the 10^th country worst hit by the pandemic, now reporting 3, 040, 326 confirmed cases, 78, 924 patients are already dead, while 2, 710, 660 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Germany with 250, 742 active cases of Coronavirus(15, 722 new and 352 deaths*) and South Africa(21) most afflicted with 1, 559,113 all time cases, 53, 423 lives are no more, while 1, 485, 315 others have recovered, leaving South Africa with 20, 375 active cases of Coronavirus(67deaths*).
