LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 113 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 162,388. But out of the 162,388 total confirmed cases, 149,986 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2,039 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 10, 363 active cases of Coronavirus while 3 patients died in the last 24 hours.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-53, Rivers-22, Akwa Ibom-12, Kaduna-12, Ondo-6, Osun-3, FCT-2, Jigawa-1, Nasarawa-1 and Kano-1, making a total of 113 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 125, 901, 563 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide,2, 761, 997 patients are already dead, while 71,348,620 others have been treated and discharged. The world is now left with 51, 790, 946 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 30, 150, 662 all time infections, while 548, 048 patients have died from the pandemic(89, 439 new and 1990 deaths*), followed by Brazil which has reported 12, 320, 169 confirmed cases, 303, 462 deaths and 10, 847, 671 recoveries, leaving Brazil with 1, 169, 036 active cases of Coronavirus(100, 158 new and 2777 deaths*) and India which has reported 11, 846, 652 all time cases, 160, 949 patients are no more, while 11, 264, 637 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving India with 421, 066 active cases of Coronavirus(59, 118 new and 257 deaths*).
France has come up as the 4th country worst hit, reporting 4, 526, 528 confirmations, 94, 432 lives have been lost to the pandemic, while 294, 865 others have been treated and discharged, leaving France with 4, 137, 231 active cases of Coronavirus(41, 877 new and 897 deaths*) and Russia which has documented 4, 451, 565 all time cases, 95, 410 patients are no more, while 4, 073, 239 others have survived the pandemic, leaving Russia with 282, 916 active cases of Coronavirus(9073 new and 400 deaths*) and the United Kingdom which has registered 4, 339, 153 confirmed cases, 126, 755 deaths and 12, 567 recoveries, leaving the UK with 4, 199, 831 active cases of Coronavirus(6247 new and 71 deaths*).
Italy has come up as the 7th country worst hit with 3, 488, 619 total cases, 107, 256 deaths and 2, 814, 652 recoveries, leaving Italy with 566, 711 active cases of Coronavirus(24, 076 new and 457 deaths*), followed by Spain which has documented 3, 255, 324 all time infections, 75, 010 patients have lost their lives, while 150, 376 others have been discharged, leaving Spain with 3, 029, 938 active cases of Coronavirus(7586 new and 590 deaths*) and Turkey which has registered 3, 149, 094 all time cases, 30, 772 patients have kicked the bucket while 2, 921, 037 others are now hale and hearty, leaving Turkey with 197, 285 active cases of Coronavirus(29,081 new and 153 deaths*).
Germany has remained as the 10th country worst hit, now reporting 2, 754, 002 all time infections, 73, 735 patients have died from the pandemic, while 2, 473, 062 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving Germany with 207, 205 active cases of Coronavirus(21, 935 new and 186 deaths*) and South Africa which has reported 1, 543,079 confirmed cases of the virus, 52, 602 lives have been lost to the virus, while 1, 469, 565 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving South Africa with 20, 912 active cases of Coronavirus(1516 new and 67 deaths*).
