France, Brazil lead new cases of Coronavirus as Nigeria records 360 cases

LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 360 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 156,017. But out of the 156,017 all time cases, 133,904 patients have been given clean bill of health, while 1,915 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 20, 198 active cases of Coronavirus, while 8 patients have died in the last 24 hours.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-120, Edo-38, Kaduna-25, FCT-23, Imo-23, Delta-19, Akwa Ibom-17, Plateau-17, Rivers-16, Nasarawa-15, Kwara-13, Oyo-9, Ogun-8, Bauchi-4, Osun-4, Kano-3, Kebbi-3, Niger-2 and Katsina-1, making a total of 360 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 114, 391, 317 confirmed cases of Coronavirus globally, 2, 536,905 patients are no more, while 64, 584, 054 others have recovered and therefore discharged. The world is now left with 47, 270, 358 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics uploaded by the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most affected country, now reporting 28, 652, 953 all time cases, while 514, 253 patients have died as a result of the pandemic(58, 370 new and 1201 deaths*), followed by India which has reported 11,112,241 all time cases, 157,157 patients are no more, while 10, 786, 452 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving India with 168, 632 active cases of Coronavirus(15, 410 new and 106 deaths*) and Brazil which has documented 10, 587, 001 cases, 255, 720 deaths and 9, 436,253 recoveries, leaving Brazil with 894, 561 active cases of Coronavirus(69, 769 new and 1499 deaths*).
Russia remains the 4th country worst hit by the pandemic, reporting 4, 209, 850 all time infections, 85, 025 patients are no more, while 3, 780, 195 others have recovered, leaving Russia with 343, 630 active cases of Coronavirus(11, 450 new and 325 deaths*), followed by the United Kingdom which has registered 4, 194, 286 confirmed cases, 123, 187 deaths, while 11, 644 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving the UK with 4, 059, 455 active cases of Coronavirus(5463 new and 104 deaths*) and France now reporting 3, 820, 342 confirmations, 86, 955 deaths, while 265, 165 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving France with 3, 468, 222 active cases of the pandemic(73, 079 new 1214 deaths*).
Spain has come up as the 7th country worst hit, reporting 3, 204,531 all time cases, 69, 609 patients have passed on while 150, 376 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Spain with 2, 984, 546 active cases of Coronavirus(15, 978 new and 467 deaths*) and Italy with 2, 938, 371 registered cases, 97, 945 deaths and 2, 416,093 recoveries, leaving Italy with 424, 333 active cases of Coronavirus(13, 106 new and 246 deaths*) and Turkey which has reported 2, 711, 479 all time cases, 28, 638 patients are already dead, while 2, 578, 181 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Turkey with 104, 660 active cases of Coronavirus(9891 new and 69 deaths*).
Germany remains the 10th country worst hit, reporting 2, 455,562 confirmations, 70, 266 patients are no more, while 2, 260, 719 others are now hale and hearty, leaving Germany with 124, 577 active cases of Coronavirus(5268 new and 157 deaths*) and South Africa, still the 16th country worst hit, now reporting 1, 513,393 all time cases, 49, 993 patients have passed on while 1, 430, 259 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving South Africa with 33, 141 active cases of Coronavirus.
