Anambra NYSC urges corps members to be neutral at governorship election

ONITSHA, Anambra -Ahead of Anambra state 2021 governorship election ,the state Coordinator of National Youths Service Corps NYSC, Mr Kehinde Aremu has advised corps members of the 2020 Batch ‘B’ stream 2 to be neutral in elections as they maybe engage by National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The coordinator gave the advice during the closing ceremony of the 2020′ B’ stream 2 orientation course at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Umuawulu/Mbaukwu on Monday . According Aremu, corps members are involved in elections as unbiased umpires.
“When the time come for them to engage you, you must never be seen to take sides with one political party or the other, but rather ensure that the exercise is free and fair and to stand on neutral grounds” he said .
He also urged corps members to relate cordially with members of their host communities, noting that no practical skill could fetch anyone income when he or she can not relate amicably with others. The coordinator charged them to engage their time in profitable Ventures, especially the post camp SAED training.
The Coordinator commended some corps members for their dedication to duty in COVID 19 /Sanitation Vanguards, Overall Parade Commander and others.
