LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 645 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 151,553. But out of the 151,553 confirmed cases, 128,005 patients have been treated and discharged, while 1,831 others could not survive the pandemic, leaving Nigeria with 21, 717 active cases of Coronavirus, while 18 patients have died in the last 24 hours.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-282, Ogun-72, FCT-50, Kaduna-33, Osun-24, Imo-23, Abia-21, Borno-18, Oyo-17, Edo-15, Nasarawa-15, Taraba-14, Ekiti-11, Ondo-11, Plateau-11, Kano-10, Rivers-7, Delta-5, Bauchi-3 and Jigawa-3, making a total of 645 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 110, 941, 712 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 2, 456,923 patients have lost their lives, while 62, 540, 458 others have recovered. The world is now left with 45, 944, 458 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest report from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States of America remains the most afflicted country with 28, 057, 264 confirmed cases, while 497, 058 others have been consumed by the virus(85, 887 new and 1588 deaths*) , followed by India, now reporting 10, 977, 387 confirmed cases, 156, 212 patients are no more, while 10, 678, 048 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving India with 143, 127 active cases of Coronavirus(13, 993 new and 101 deaths*) and Brazil which has documented 10, 081, 676 all time cases, 244, 765 patients are no more, while 9, 047, 703 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Brazil with 789, 208 active cases of Coronavirus(29 deaths*).
The United Kingdom has assumed the 4th country worst hit by the virus, now reporting 4, 117, 693 confirmations, 120, 592 patients are already dead, while 11, 254 others have been assisted to recovery, leaving the UK with 3, 985, 847 Coronavirus patients(10, 463 new and 445 deaths*), followed by Russia which has registered 4, 105, 424 all time infections, 81, 517 patients have passed on, while 3, 656, 314 others have survived the pandemic, leaving Russia with 367, 593 active cases of Coronavirus(12, 775 new and 469 deaths*) and France which has reported 3, 597, 113 confirmed cases, 83, 546 patients are no more, while 253, 337 others have recovered, leaving France with 3, 260, 230 active cases of Coronavirus(946 new and 3 deaths*).
Spain remains the 7th country worst hit, now reporting 3, 133, 122 registered cases, 67, 101 patients are already dead, while 150, 376 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Spain with 2, 915, 645 active cases of Coronavirus, followed by Italy with 2, 795, 796 confirmed cases, 95,486 patients have lost their lives to the pandemic, while 2, 315, 687 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Italy with 384, 623 active cases of Coronavirus(14, 914 new and 251 deaths*) and Turkey which has reported 2, 631, 876 confirmations, 27, 983 deaths and 2, 518, 768 recoveries, leaving Turkey with 85, 125 active cases of Coronavirus(7857 new and 80 deaths*).
Germany continues as the 10th country worst hit, reporting 2, 388, 161 all time cases, 67, 784 patients are no more, 2, 192, 105 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving Germany with 128, 272 active cases of Coronavirus(6902 new and 284 deaths*) and South Africa which has documented 1, 500, 677 confirmed cases, 48, 940 patients have passed on while 1, 409, 553 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving South Africa with 42, 184 active cases of Coronavirus(81 deaths*).
