LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 634 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 154, 476. But out of the 154,476 confirmed cases, 131,699 patients have been treated and discharged, while 1,891 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 20, 886 active cases of Coronavirus, while 6 patients have lost their lives in the last 24 hours.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-259, Osun-45, Edo-38, Ogun-35, FCT-33, Anambra-26, Imo-24, Ondo-24, Akwa Ibom-20, Plateau-20, Abia-19, Kaduna-19, Ebonyi-17, Borno-10, Rivers-10, Kano-9, Delta-8, Kebbi-7, Nasarawa-4, Oyo-3, Enugu-2 and Ekiti-2, making a total of 634 new cases of Coronavirus.

Total number of those infected has now grown to 112, 956, 305 worldwide, 2, 506, 224 deaths, while 63,692,091 patients have been treated and discharged. There are now 46, 757, 990 active cases of Coronavirus worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 28, 409,036 all time cases, 508, 088 patients have lost their lives in the US alone(96,033 new and 3793 deaths*), followed by India which has documented 11, 046, 914 total infections, 156, 705 deaths, while 10, 738, 501 others have recovered, leaving India with 151, 708 active cases of Coronavirus(16, 738 new and 138 deaths*) and Brazil which has registered 10, 390,461 confirmations, 251, 498 deaths, while 9, 250,408 patients have been treated and discharged, leaving Brazil with 888, 555 active cases of Coronavirus(132, 586 new and 2969 deaths*).
The United Kingdom has retained the 4th most afflicted country, now reporting 4, 166,718 total infections, 122, 303 patients have lost their lives, while 11, 503 others have survived the pandemic, leaving the UK with 4, 032, 912 active cases of Coronavirus(10, 058 new and 324 deaths*) followed by Russia which has reported 4, 164, 802 confirmations, 83, 481 deaths, while 3, 725, 604 recoveries, leaving Russia with 355, 717 active cases of Coronavirus(11, 067 new and 437 deaths*) and France which has reported 3, 746, 466 all time cases, 85, 734 deaths, while 261, 648 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving France with 3, 399, 084 active cases of Coronavirus(25, 413 new and 262 deaths*).
Spain continue as the 7th country worst hit, now reporting 3, 180,212 confirmed cases, 68, 813 deaths, while 150, 376 patients remains constant as those who have recovered officially, leaving Spain with 2, 961, 023 active cases of Coronavirus(9568 new and 345 deaths*), followed by Italy which has documented 2, 868,435 all time cases, 96, 974 deaths, while 2, 375,318 others have survived the pandemic, leaving Italy with 396, 143 active cases of Coronavirus(19, 871 new and 308 deaths*) and Turkey which has documented 2, 674, 766 confirmed cases, 28, 358 deaths, while 2, 546,503 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Turkey with 99, 905 active cases of Coronavirus(9572 new and 73 deaths*).
Germany remained as the 10th country most hit, now reporting 2, 426,819 all time cases, 69, 327 deaths, while 2, 232,050 patients are now hale and hearty, leaving Germany with 125, 442 active cases of Coronavirus(10, 790 new and 391 deaths*) and South Africa, now reporting 1, 509, 124 confirmed cases, 49, 667 deaths, while 1, 424,401 others have recovered, leaving South Africa with 35, 056 active cases of Coronavirus(1676 new and 144 deaths*).
