LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 574 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 146,928. But out of the 146,928 confirmed cases,123,009 patients have been treated and discharged, while 1,761 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 22, 158 active cases, while 9 patients have died in the last 24 hours.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Kwara- 98, Lagos- 81, Edo- 59, Ondo- 44, FCT- 41, Kano- 34, Ogun- 33, Kaduna- 29, Osun- 28, Enugu- 23, Rivers- 18, Delta-16, Akwa Ibom-15, Bauchi-12, Imo-10, Borno-8, Niger-8, Kebbi-7, Nasarawa-5, Gombe-3 and Ekiti-2, making a total of 574 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 109, 076,584 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 2, 405,546 patients have passed away, while 61, 277,452 others have been given clean bill of health. The world is now left with 45, 393, 586 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States of America remains the most afflicted, now reporting 27, 676, 502 confirmed cases, while 486, 106 patients are already dead(46,059 new and 997 deaths*), followed by India which has documented 10, 916, 589 all time cases, 155, 732 patients are no more, while 10, 621, 220 others have been treated and discharged, leaving India with 139, 637 active cases of Coronavirus(11, 649 new 90 deaths*) and Brazil, now reporting 9, 834, 513 all time infections, 239, 245 patients have passed on, while 8, 821,887 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Brazil with 773, 381 active cases of Coronavirus(24, 759 new 713 deaths*).
The United Kingdom has come up as the 4th country worst hit, reporting 4, 059, 694 confirmed cases, 117, 620 patients have passed on while only 10, 919 patients have been assisted successfully to the point of recovery, leaving the UK with 3, 931, 155 Coronavirus patients(9789 new and 234 deaths*), followed by Russia, which has confirmed 4, 040, 505 all time cases, 79, 210 patients are already dead, while 3, 567, 189 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Russia with 394, 106 active cases of Coronavirus(13, 999 new and 385 deaths*) and France, which has reported 3, 528,826 confirmations, 82, 374 patients are already dead, while 248, 737 others have recovered, leaving France with 3, 197, 715 Coronavirus patients(60, 942 new and 1413 deaths*).
Spain has come up as the 7th country most affected, reporting 3, 086, 286 confirmations, 65, 449 deaths and 150, 376 recoveries, leaving Spain with 2, 870, 461 Coronavirus patients(30,325 new and 702 deaths*) and Italy with 2, 729, 223 confirmed cases, 93, 835 patients are no more, while 2, 237,290 others are no hale and hearty, leaving Italy with 398, 098 active cases of Coronavirus(7344 new and 258 deaths*) and Turkey which has reported 2, 594,128 all time cases, 27, 562 patients are dead already, while 2, 482,435 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Turkey with 84, 131 active cases of Coronavirus(7945 new and 91 deaths*).
Germany remains as the 10th country worst hit, reporting 2, 346, 873 all time cases, 65, 288 patients have kicked the bucket while 2, 137,998 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving Germany with 143, 587 active cases of Coronavirus(5129 new and 272 deaths*) and South Africa, still the 16th country worst hit, now reporting 1, 491, 807 confirmed cases, 48, 094 deaths, while 1, 391, 155 others have been treated and discharged, leaving South Africa with 52, 558 active cases of Coronavirus(185 deaths*).
