LAGOS, Nigeria – Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirmed 1270 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 102, 601. But out of the 102, 601 confirmed cases; 81,574 patients have been treated and discharged, while 1373 patients have been killed by the virus. Nigeria is now left with 19, 639 active cases of Coronavirus.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-435, FCT-234, Oyo-103, Plateau-86, Rivers-71, Enugu-51, Nasarawa-41, Delta-39, Edo-39, Osun-33, Niger-31, Sokoto-23, Ondo-16, Taraba-13, Ebonyi-12, Kano-10, Abia-9, Bayelsa-8, Bauchi-7, Imo-5, Katsina-3, and Gombe-1, making a total of 1270 new cases.

There are now 91,383, 544 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 1, 956, 635 lives have been lost, while 50, 537, 714 others have been treated and discharged. The world is now left with 38, 889, 195 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics released by the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 22, 775, 378 confirmed cases, while 379, 444 others have been killed by the virus(199, 483 new 3606 deaths*) , followed by India which has reported 10, 479, 179 confirmed cases, 151, 327 patients are no more, while 10,111,294 others have recovered and subsequently discharged, leaving India with 216, 558 active cases of Coronavirus(12,584 new and 167deaths*) and Brazil which has registered 8, 131,612 all time cases, 203, 580 deaths and 7, 284, 945 recoveries, leaving Brazil with 643, 087 active cases of Coronavirus.
Russia comes in as the 4th country most hit by the virus, reporting 3, 412, 390 confirmed cases, 61,908 patients have passed on while 2, 796, 132 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Russia with 554, 350 active cases of Coronavirus (22,657 new and 519 deaths*), followed by the United Kingdom which has registered 3, 173, 274 all time cases, 83, 342 patients have kicked the bucket, while 7, 341 others have been treated and discharged since the onset of the pandemic, leaving the UK with 3, 082, 591 active cases of Coronavirus(45, 638 new and 1250 deaths*) and France which has documented 2, 864, 297 all time cases, 68, 939 patients are no more, while 210, 315 patients have recovered and subsequently discharged, leaving France with 2, 795, 335 cases of Coronavirus(8,716 new and 744deaths*).
Turkey is the 7th country worst hit by the virus, reporting 2, 346, 285 all time cases, 23, 152 patients are no more, while 2, 218,464 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Turkey with 104, 669 active cases of Coronavirus(9,809 new and 171 deaths*), followed by Italy which has documented 2, 303, 263 confirmations, 79, 819 patients are no more, while 1, 653,404 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving Italy with 570, 040 active cases of Coronavirus(14, 242 new 616 deaths*)and Spain, which has registered 2, 137,220 confirmed cases, 52, 683 patients have passed on, while 150, 376 others have recovered, leaving Spain with 1, 934, 161 Coronavirus cases(26, 104 new and 409 deaths*).
Germany comes up as the 10th country worst hit, documenting 1, 957, 898 all time cases, 42, 259 deaths and 1, 595,806 recoveries, leaving Germany with 319, 833 active cases of Coronavirus(16, 782 new and 993 deaths*) and South Africa(16th) with 1, 259,748 all time cases, 34,334 deaths and 1,019,123 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 206, 291 active cases of Coronavirus(13, 105 new and 755 deaths*).
