LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 418 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 73,175. But out of the 73,175 cases confirmed over time, 66,090 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, while 1,197 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 5,888 active cases of Coronavirus.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-113, FCT-86, Abia-47, Kaduna-39, Rivers-27 , Katsina-22, Benue-14, Oyo-13, Kano-12, Enugu-8, Edo-7, Imo-7, Bauchi-6, Ebonyi-6, Ogun-6, Ondo-4 and Nasarawa-1, making a total of 418 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 72,084, 868 all time cases of Coronavirus globally, 1,610, 336 lives have been lost to the virus, while 47, 064, 863 others have been treated successfully and discharged. Active cases of Coronavirus worldwide now stands at 23, 409, 669, based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University(JHU) Maryland.
According to JHU, the United States remains the most afflicted, reporting 16, 184, 350 all time cases, 298, 747 deaths and 6, 246, 605 recoveries, leaving the USA with 9, 638, 998 active cases of Coronavirus(163,704 new cases), followed by India, which has documented 9, 857, 029 all time cases, 143, 019 deaths, while 9, 357, 464 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving India with 356, 546 active cases of Coronavirus(30, 254 new cases) and Brazil which has documented 6, 880, 127 all time cases, 181, 123 deaths, while 6, 078, 287 others have recovered, leaving Brazil with 620, 717 active cases of Coronavirus(43, 900 new cases).
Russia remains the 4th country worst hit by Coronavirus, reporting 2,629, 699 all time cases, 46, 404 patients are no more while 2, 086, 887 others have survived the pandemic, leaving Russia with 496, 408 active cases of Coronavirus(27, 651 new cases), followed by France with 2, 430, 612 all time infections, 58, 015 deaths, while 182, 685 others have recovered, leaving France with 2, 189, 912 patients still down with Coronavirus hoping for the best of medical care to keep living(25, 357 new cases) and the United Kingdom which has suffered the highest casualty in Europe. The United Kingdom has reported 1, 854, 490 total cases, 64, 267 patients have been killed by Coronavirus, while only 4,012 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving the UK with 1, 786, 211 patients still sick with the virus, looking up to God to keep living(18, 541 new cases).
Italy has come up as the 7th country most affected, reporting 1, 843, 712 all time cases, 64,520 patients are already dead while 1,093, 161 others have survived the ailment, leaving Italy with 686, 031 active cases(17,937 new cases), followed by Turkey which has documented 1, 836,728 all time infections, 16, 417 deaths and 1, 603, 780 recoveries, leaving Turkey with 216, 531 active cases of Coronavirus(26, 919 new cases) and Spain, which has reported 1, 730, 575 all time cases, 47, 624 deaths, while 150, 376 others have recovered, leaving Spain with 1, 532, 575 patients still down with Coronavirus, hoping for the best of medical care to remain alive.
Argentina has come up as the 10th country worst hit, reporting 1, 494, 602 all time cases, 40,668 patients have lost their lives to Coronavirus, while 1, 330, 160 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving Argentina with 123, 774 active cases of Coronavirus and South Africa now the 18 country worst hit by Coronavirus.
South Africa has documented 860, 964 all time cases, 23, 276 patients are no more, while 761,011 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving South Africa with 76, 677 active cases of Coronavirus(7,999 new cases).
