LAGOS, Nigeria – Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 675 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 71,344. But out of the 71,344  all time cases,  65,474  patients have been treated successfully and discharged while 1,190  others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 4680 active cases of Coronavirus .

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, FCT-183,  Lagos-128,  Kaduna-85,  Kwara-57,  Katsina-50, Plateau-42,  Rivers-39, Kano-33,  Ondo-21, Ogun-17, Bauchi-10, Sokoto-5, Edo-2, Ekiti-1, Bayelsa-1  and Delta-1 making a total of 675 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 69,354, 040 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide,  1, 577,875 deaths, while  44, 602, 010 recoveries. Active cases of Coronavirus now stand at  23, 174, 155, the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, JHU has reported.

According to JHU, the United States of America remains the most afflicted country, reporting 15,526,644  all time cases,  291, 307  deaths and  5, 891, 885 recoveries, leaving the USA with 9, 343, 452 active cases of Coronavirus(189, 553 new cases), followed by India with  9, 767,371 all time cases, 141, 772 deaths, while  9, 253,306 others have been treated and discharged, leaving India with 372, 293 active cases of Coronavirus(31, 521 new cases) and Brazil which has reported  6, 728,852 all time cases, 178, 995 patients are no more, while 5, 966,118 others have recovered, leaving Brazil with  583, 739  active cases of Coronavirus(400 new cases)

Russia remains the 4^th country most hit, reporting  2, 546, 113 all time cases,  44, 769 deaths and  2, 015, 137 recoveries, leaving Russia with 486, 207 all time cases(27, 562 new cases), followed by France which has documented  2, 391,519  confirmations,  57, 043 deaths and 180, 348  recoveries, leaving France with 2, 154, 128  active cases of Coronavirus(13, 827 new cases) and  the United Kingdom which has documented 1, 792, 581 all time infections,  63, 179 patients are no more, while  only 3, 785 patients have been able to survive the pandemic, leaving the UK with 1, 725, 617 active cases of Coronavirus(21, 037 new cases).

Italy is next in the 7^th spot, reporting  1, 787, 147 cases since the outset of Coronavirus,  62, 626 patients are already dead, while  1,027,  994 others have recovered, leaving Italy with 696, 527 active cases of Coronavirus(16, 988 new cases) followed by Spain which has reported  1, 720, 056 confirmed cases,  47, 344 patients have lost their lives to the virus, while 150, 376 patience since June 2020 remains the  number that has recovered, leaving Spain with 1, 522, 336 active cases of Coronavirus(7,955 new cases) and Argentina which has reported  1, 475, 222 all time cases, 40, 222 deaths and  1, 311,488 recoveries, leaving Argentina with 123, 512 active cases of Coronavirus(5,303 new cases).

Colombia remains the 10^th country most hit, reporting  1,392, 133 all time cases, 38, 308 patients are no  more, while  1, 287, 597 others have recovered, leaving Colombia with 66, 228 all time cases, followed by South Africa, now the 18^th country worst hit, reporting  836, 764 all time cases, 22, 747 patients have been killed by the virus, while  756, 671 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving South Africa with 57, 346 active cases of Coronavirus(8, 166 new cases).
