LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 390 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 69,645. Out of the 69,645 all time cases, 64,947 patients have been discharged, while 1,181 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 3517 active cases of Coronavirus#Coronavirusnigeria.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, FCT-89, Gombe-89, Kaduna-62, Lagos-35, Kwara-15, Borno-13 Nasarawa-10, Rivers-10, Bauchi-8, Ogun-8, Osun-7, Bayelsa-7, Kano-7, Edo-6, Taraba-6, Ekiti-5, Katsina-5, Akwa Ibom-4, Delta-3 and Sokoto-1; 69,645 confirmed; 64,947 discharged; 1,181 deaths, making a total of 390.

There are now 67, 440, 864 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 1, 541,661 deaths, while 43, 280, 735 others have been treated successfully and discharged. Total active cases now stand at 22, 280, 864 based on statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University,(JHU) Maryland.
According to JHU, the United States remains the most afflicted, reporting 14, 883, 966 confirmed cases, 283, 211 patients are already dead, while 5, 624, 444 others have recovered, leaving the USA with 8, 976, 311 active cases of Coronavirus(171, 694 new cases), followed by India, which has reported 9, 677, 203 all time cases, 140, 573 patients are already dead while 9, 139, 901 others have been able to overcome the pandemic, leaving India with 396, 729 active cases of Coronavirus(32,981 new cases) and Brazil which has documented 6, 603, 540 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 176, 941 patients are no more, while 5, 866, 657 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Brazil with 559, 942 active cases of Coronavirus(23, 363 new cases).
Russia comes up as the 4th country most afflicted, reporting 2, 466,961 all time cases, 43, 122 patients have passed on while 1, 939,393 others have survived the pandemic, leaving Russia with 484, 446 active cases of Coronavirus(27, 798 new cases), followed by France with 2, 349, 059 confirmed cases, 55, 613 patients are already dead, while 175, 919 others are now hale and hearty, leaving France with 2, 117, 527 active cases of Coronavirus(3, 411 new cases) and Italy which has documented 1, 742, 557 all time cases, 60, 606 patients are no more, while 933, 132 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Italy with 748, 819 active cases of Coronavirus(13, 679 new cases).
The United Kingdom is now the 7th most afflicted country, reporting 1, 742, 524 all time infections, 61, 531 lives have been lost to the pandemic, while only 3, 747 patients have been able to recover from the pandemic since the outset of the virus, leaving the UK with 1, 677, 246 patients still down with Coronavirus hoping for the best of medical care to keep living(14, 773 new cases), followed by Spain with 1, 702, 328 confirmations, 46, 646 deaths and 150, 376 recoveries, since June, 2020, leaving Spain with 1, 505, 306 active cases of Coronavirus(17, 681 new cases) and Argentina which has reported 1, 463, 110 all time cases, 39, 770 patients have kicked the bucket while 1, 294, 692 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Argentina with 128, 648 active cases of Coronavirus(3, 278 new cases).
Colombia remains the 10th country worst hit by the virus, reporting 1, 371,103 all time cases, 37, 808 patients have died from the virus, while 1, 257, 410 others have survived the pandemic, leaving Colombia with 75, 885 active cases of Coronavirus (8, 854 new cases) and South Africa now the 18th country worst hit globally. South Africa has listed 817,878 all time cases, 22, 249 deaths and 745, 750 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 49, 879 active cases of Coronavirus(3, 313 new cases).
