LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 758 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 74,132. But out of the 74,132 all time cases, 66, 494 patients have been treated successfully and discharged while 1,200 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 6438 active cases of Coronavirus.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, FCT-305, Lagos-152, Kaduna-103, Bauchi-44, Gombe-35, Plateau-31, Rivers-17, Sokoto-15, Kwara-13, Kano-9, Ebonyi-8, Ogun-5, Osun-5, Oyo-4, Edo-4, Anambra-4, Bayelsa-2, Ekiti-1 and Taraba-1, making a total of 758 new cases of Coronavirus.

Globally, there are now over 73 million cases of Coronavirus pandemic. In specific terms, there are currently 73,253, 728 confirmed cases, 1, 630, 211 lives have been lost to the virus, while 41, 475,005 patients have recovered. There are now 30, 148, 512 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, (JHU), Maryland.
According to JHU, the United States remains worst hit by the pandemic, reporting 16, 636,487 all time cases, 302, 294 patients are already dead, while 6, 158, 049 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving the US with 10, 176, 094 active cases of Coronavirus(228, 702 new cases), followed by India, which has documented 9, 906, 165 total cases, 143, 709 patients have passed on while 9, 422,636 others have been able to recover, leaving India with 339, 820 active cases of Coronavirus(22, 065 new cases) and Brazil which has reported 6, 927, 145 total cases since inception, 181, 835 patients are no more, while 6, 148, 049 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Brazil with 597, 261 active cases of Coronavirus(25, 193 new cases).
Russia remains the 4th country worst hit, reporting 2, 682, 866 all time cases, 47,410 patients are already dead, while 2, 129,806 others have recovered, leaving Russia with 505, 650 active cases of Coronavirus(26, 265 new cases), followed by France which has reported 2, 445, 336 confirmations, 59, 181 deaths and 184, 780 recoveries, leaving France with 2, 201, 375 active cases of the pandemic(11, 606 new cases) and Turkey which has documented 1, 898, 447 confirmed cases, 16, 881 patients are now dead and 1, 661, 191 recoveries, leaving Turkey with 220, 375 active cases of Coronavirus(32, 102 new cases).
The United Kingdom stands as the 7th country most hit, reporting 1, 893, 368 all time cases, 65,006 patients have died as a result of the pandemic, while only 4, 071 patients have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving the UK with 1, 824, 291 patients still sick and in urgent need of medical attention to get back on their feet(18, 565 new cases), followed by Italy with 1, 870, 576 confirmed cases, 65, 857 deaths and 1, 141,406 recoveries, leaving Italy with 663, 313 active cases of Coronavirus(14, 839 new cases) and Spain, which has reported 1, 762, 212 all time cases, 48, 401 patients are no more, while 150, 376 remains the number treated and discharged since June, leaving Spain with 1, 563, 435 patients down with Coronavirus, hoping for the best of care to keep living(10, 328 new cases).
Argentina remains the 10th country worst hit, confirming 1, 503, 222 cases since the beginning of the pandemic, 41, 041 deaths and 1, 340, 120 recoveries, leaving Argentina with 122, 061 active cases of Coronavirus(5, 062 new cases) and South Africa(18th) country most hit, reporting 866, 127 all time infections, 23, 451 patients have passed on while 762, 746 others have recovered from the ailment, leaving South Africa with 79, 930 active cases of Coronavirus.
