LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 550 new cases of Coronavirus, the highest in over six months, bringing all time cases to 70,195. But out of the 70,195 all time cases, 65,110 patients have been treated and discharged, while 1,182 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 3903 active cases of Coronavirus, #Coronavirusnigeria.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-219, FCT-168, Kaduna-52, Kwara-19, Kano-15, Rivers-15, Sokoto-10, Enugu-9, Gombe-8, Plateau-7, Osun-7, Anambra-5, Oyo-5, Jigawa-4, Ogun-4, Bauchi-2 and Edo-1, making a total of 550 new cases.

There are now 68, 010, 230 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 1, 553,025 patients are already dead, while 43,743,769 others have recovered. Total active cases worldwide now stands at 22, 713, 436 based on current statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most affected country, reporting 15, 087, 418 all time cases, 285, 518 deaths, while 5, 714,557 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving the US with 9, 087, 343 active cases of Coronavirus(203, 452 new cases), followed by India with 9, 703,770 all time infections, 140, 958 deaths and 9, 178, 946 recoveries, leaving India with 383, 866 active cases of Coronavirus(26, 567 new cases) and Brazil which has documented 6, 623,911 confirmations, 177, 317 deaths and 5, 917,337 recoveries, leaving Brazil with 529, 257 active cases of Coronavirus(20, 371 new cases).
Russia remains the 4th country worst hit, reporting 2, 492,713 all time cases, 43, 674 patients are no more, while 1, 963,864 others have been discharged, leaving Russia with 485, 175 active cases of Coronavirus(25, 752 new cases), followed by France which has confirmed 2, 362,871 all time cases, 56, 444 patients are no more, while 177, 558 others have been treated and discharged, leaving France with 2, 128,869 active cases of Coronavirus(13, 812 new cases) and Italy which has confirmed 1, 757, 394 all time cases, 61, 240 patients are no more, while 958, 629 others have regained their health, leaving Italy with 737, 525 active cases of Coronavirus(14, 837 new cases).
The United Kingdom remains the 7th country most hit, reporting 1, 754,881 all time cases, 62, 130 patients have lost their lives to the virus, while only 3, 761 others have been able to survive the virus, leaving the UK with 1, 688, 990 active cases of Coronavirus(12, 357 new cases), followed by Spain with 1, 702, 328 confirmations, 46, 646 deaths and 150, 376 recoveries, leaving Spain with 1, 505, 306 patients still sick, hoping for the best of medical care to come out alive and Argentina with 1, 466,309 confirmed cases, 39, 888 deaths and 1, 300,696 recoveries, leaving Argentina with 125, 725 active cases of Coronavirus(3,199 new cases).
Colombia has come up as the 10th country most hit, reporting 1, 377, 100 all time cases, 37, 995 patients are already dead, while 1, 265,595 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving Colombia with 73, 510 sick patients hoping for the best of medical attention to keep living(5, 997 new cases) and South Africa , now the 18th country worst hit. South Africa has reported 821, 889 all time infections, 22, 432 deaths and 753, 072 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 46, 385 active cases of Coronavirus(4,011 new cases).
