 LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 180 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 64,516.

But out of the 64,516 all time cases,  60,737 patients have been treated and  discharged, while 1,162  others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 2617 active cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, #coronavirusngr.

 Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-74,  Oyo-41,  FCT-19,  Kaduna-19,  Bauchi-12,  Ogun-7, Rivers-4, Cross River-2 and Edo-2, making a total of 180 new cases.

There are now 51, 817, 846 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 1, 278, 086 patients have passed on while  33, 749,258 others have been treated and discharged. The world is now left with 16, 790, 502 active cases of Coronavirus, the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland has said.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most affected, reporting 10, 339, 570 confirmed cases,  240, 521 deaths and  3, 961, 873 recoveries, leaving the United States with 6, 137, 176 active cases of Coronavirus(121, 781 new cases), followed by India which has documented 8,636, 011 cases since the first case was reported, 127, 571 deaths while  8, 013, 783 patients have recovered, leaving India with 494, 657 active cases of Coronavirus(44, 281 new cases) and Brazil which has 5, 699, 005 confirmed cases,  162, 802 patients have passed on, while  5, 183, 970 others have been  treated and discharged, leaving Brazil with 352, 233 active cases of Coronavirus(23, 972 new cases).

France  has come up as the 4th country most affected by the virus, reporting 1, 857, 309 confirmations,  41, 062 deaths, while  135, 216 others have overcome the pandemic, leaving France with 1, 681, 031 active cases of Coronavirus(1,017 new cases), followed by Russia which has reported 1, 822,  345  confirmed cases,  31, 326 patients have died, while  1, 360, 049 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Russia with 430, 970 active cases of Coronavirus(19, 583 new cases) and Spain, which has documented 1, 417,709 confirmations, 40, 105 patients are no more, while 150, 376 patients have recovered. Spain is left with 1, 227, 228 active cases of Coronavirus(36, 491 new cases).

Argentina has come up as the 7th country most affected with 1, 262, 476 all time cases,  34, 183 deaths and  1, 081, 897 recoveries,  leaving Argentina with 146, 396 active cases of Coronavirus(11, 977 new cases), followed by the United Kingdom which has suffered the highest casualties in Europe.

The United Kingdom has reported 1, 237, 242  confirmations, 49, 862 patients have been killed by the virus, while  only 3, 018 patients have been able to recover, leaving the UK with 1, 184, 362 active cases of Coronavirus(51 new cases)  and  Colombia which has documented 1, 156, 675 all time cases,  33, 148 deaths, while  1, 059, 237 others  have been treated and discharged, leaving Colombia with 164, 290 active cases of Coronavirus(7, 611 new cases).

Italy has come up as the 10th country worst hit, with 1,028, 424  all time cases,  42, 953 deaths, while 372, 113 patients have recovered, leaving Italy with 613, 358 active cases of Coronavirus(32, 961 new cases) and South Africa now pushed to the 13th most affected country with 740, 254 all time cases,  19, 951 deaths while 683, 194 others have been treated and discharged, leaving South Africa with 37, 109 active cases of Coronavirus.
