LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 146 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 65,839. But out of the 65,839 all time cases,  61,573  patients have been treated and discharged while  1,165  others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 3101 active cases of Coronavirus, #coronavirusnigeria.

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-62,  Abuja-23,  Kaduna-21, Ogun-12,  Rivers -12, Ondo-5,  Oyo-3,  Plateau-3, Bauchi-2, Katsina-2 and Kano-1, making a total of 146 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 56, 708,132  confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide,  1, 356,689 patients have been killed by the virus, while  36, 337, 282 others have recovered. There are now  19, 014, 161 active cases of Coronavirus globally based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University,(JHU) Maryland.

According to JHU, the United States remains the most affected country, reporting 11, 667,  719  total infections,  251, 892  patients have been killed by the virus, while  4, 348, 089  others have been treated and discharged, leaving the United States with 7, 067, 738 active cases of Coronavirus(198, 980 new cases) followed by India, which has documented  8, 958, 483 all time cases,  131, 578 patients are no more, while  8, 383, 602 others have regained their health, leaving India with 443, 303  active cases of Coronavirus(45, 576 new cases) and then Brazil which has reported  5, 945, 849  total infections,  167, 455 deaths and  5, 383, 385  recoveries, leaving Brazil with 395, 009 active cases of Coronavirus(34,091 new cases).

France remains the 4th country most affected by the Coronavirus pandemic, reporting  2, 136, 867 all time cases,  47, 201 deaths, while  153, 145 others are now hale and hearty, leaving France with 1, 936, 521  active cases of Coronavirus(21, 375 new cases), followed by Russia which has reported  1, 998, 966 total infections,  34, 525 deaths, while  1, 514, 945 others  have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving Russia with 449, 496 patients still sick hoping for the best of medical care to keep living(23, 337 new cases) and Spain which has reported  1, 541, 574 confirmed cases of Coronavirus,  42, 291 deaths,  while total recoveries stagnated at 150, 376 since June 2020. Spain now has  1, 348, 907 active cases of Coronavirus(16, 233 new cases).

The United Kingdom has come up as the 7th country worst hit by the infection, reporting  1, 456, 940  confirmed cases,  53, 870 deaths  and only 3, 242 recoveries, leaving the UK with 1, 399, 828  active cases of Coronavirus (22, 938 new cases), followed by Argentina which has documented  1, 339, 337 all time cases,  36, 347 deaths and  1, 156, 474  patients have been treated and discharged, leaving Argentina with  146, 516  active cases of Coronavirus(10, 332 new cases) and Italy, which has reported 1, 308,  528 all time cases,  47, 870 deaths, while  498, 987 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Italy with 761, 671 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic(36, 176 new cases).

Colombia remains the 10th country worst hit, reporting  1, 218, 003 all time infections, 34, 563 patients are already dead, while 1, 125,  184 others  have been discharged after treatment, leaving Colombia with 58, 256 active cases of Coronavirus(6, 875 new cases) and South Africa now the 16th country most affected. South Africa has documented   759, 658  all time cases of Coronavirus,  20, 671 patients have kicked the bucket, while  702, 544 others have survived the pandemic, leaving South Africa with 36, 443 active cases of Coronavirus(2, 514 new cases).
