Coronavirus: Nigeria reports 111 new 3028 active, US, France top new cases

LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 111 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 62,964.
But out of the 62,964 all time cases, 58,790 patients have been treated and discharged, while 1,146 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 3028 active cases of Coronavirus, #coronavirusngr.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-49, Abuja-30, Rivers-11, Plateau-10, Ogun-4, Kaduna-3, Oyo-3 and Osun-1, making a total of 111 new cases of Coronavirus.
“NCDC@NCDCgov111 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-49, FCT-30, Rivers-11, Plateau-10, Ogun-4, Kaduna-3, Oyo-3 and Osun-1; 62,964 confirmed ; 58,790 discharged; 1,146 deaths”, the NCDC said in a statement.
There are now 46,379, 835 active cases of Coronavirus globally, 1, 198, 688 deaths while 30, 926, 660 patients have recovered from the pandemic. The world is now left with 14, 254, 487 active cases of Coronavirus worldwide based on current statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the worst hit, reporting 9, 184, 689 confirmed cases, 230, 843 deaths, while 3, 612, 478 others have been treated and discharged, leaving the US with 5, 341, 368 active cases of Coronavirus(86, 389 new cases), followed by India which has confirmed 8, 184, 082 cases, 122, 111 deaths, while 7, 491, 513 others have recovered, leaving India with 570, 458 active cases of the virus(46, 963 new cases) and Brazil which has documented 5, 535,605 confirmations, 159, 884 deaths and 5, 005, 161 recoveries, leaving Brazil with 370, 560 active cases of Coronavirus(18, 947 new cases).
Russia comes next as the 4th country most hit by the virus, reporting 1, 624,648 confirmed cases,28,026 deaths, while 1, 218, 619 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Russia with 378, 003 active cases of Coronavirus(18, 381 new cases), followed by France which has documented 1, 458,999 confirmations, 37,057 deaths, while 123, 664 patients have recovered, leaving France with 1,298,278 active cases of Coronavirus(81,633 new cases) and Spain which has reported 1, 185,678 confirmed cases, 35, 978 patients have been killed by Coronavirus, while about 150, 376 patients have been treated and discharged, leaving Spain with 999, 324 active cases of Coronavirus.
Argentina remains the 7th country most afflicted, reporting 1, 166, 924 confirmations, 31,002 deaths and 973,939 recoveries, leaving Argentina with 161, 983 active cases of Coronavirus(9, 745 new cases), followed by Colombia, which has reported 1, 073, 809 cases since the first cases was reported in Colombia. Not less than 31, 598 patients are no more, while 968, 927 others have been able to survive the ailment, leaving Colombia with 73, 284 active cases of Coronavirus(20, 687 new cases) and the United Kingdom which has reported 1, 038, 054 confirmed cases, 46, 807 patients have died as a result of the virus, while only 2, 841 patients have been treated and discharged in the UK since the outset of Coronavirus, leaving the UK with 988, 406 active cases of Coronavirus(23, 261 new cases).

Mexico comes next as the 10th country most afflicted, reporting 924, 962 confirmed cases, 91, 753 patients are no more, while 779,371 others have recovered, leaving Mexico with 53, 838 active cases of Coronavirus(6, 151 new cases) and South Africa now the 12th country most affected, reporting 726, 823 confirmed cases, 19, 411 deaths while 655, 330 others have been treated and discharged, leaving South Africa with 52, 082 active cases of Coronavirus(1, 371 new cases) and Italy with 709, 335 confirmations, 38, 826 deaths and 292, 380 recoveries, leaving Italy with 378,129 patients still sick hoping for the best of medical care to keep living(29,905 new cases).
